The first part of this message is to remind members that we are holding the squash club AGM this Thursday 14th August strting at 8.00 pm in the Birkdale lounge.
The second message regarding the PROPER footware for playing squash is directed at new and recently joined players plus more seasoned players that SHOULD know better. Southport & Birkdale Squash's courts are, by far, the best maintained courts in the area. It has been noted recently that players are arriving at the club and going directly on court in trainers that are not suited to playing on a squash court. This is damaging the floor surface. It is a rule of squash that you bring your court shoes in your bag and change at the club before you go on court.
Please help us to maintain our superb squash courts by doing two things.
1 Buy yourself a pair of proper squash court shoes.
2 Bring them to the club in your squash bag and change into them before you go on court.
